Dazzle with Winter Decor this Holiday Season

As the season transitions from fall to winter, it’s time to start thinking about how to make this holiday season feel extra special. This time of year is full of festive events, from celebrations with your friends and loved ones to winter weddings to Christmas shopping extravaganzas.

What can you do to take your holiday spirit to the next level? Here are a few ideas we have at Shout!

Make your home jolly and bright

Decorating your home for a holiday—any holiday—is a fun family activity to share. But are you tired of doing the same thing with Christmas lights and wreaths year after year?

This year, take the extra step of decorating your lawn for Christmas. Yes, you can find lots of fun lighted and inflatable displays at home improvement stores, but if you really want to stand out, we’ve got some unique ideas for you.

  • Custom banners to put across your yard
  • Lawn signs wishing your friends and neighbors a happy holidays
  • Make a (Christmas) scene on your front yard with Santa-themed cutouts

These decorations are especially fun to pull out if you’re hosting a big holiday celebration for friends and family. What’s more, these decorations are easier to store than others—say, the tangle of Christmas lights we all struggle with every year.

Celebrate your wedding in a winter wonderland

While the wedding season is usually late spring through early fall, the holiday season can be a beautiful time to hold a wedding. People are already in a festive mood, venues can be easier to book, and there are lots of delightful themes to choose from, from cozy cabin vibes to, yes, a winter wonderland.

No matter what theme you choose, there are lots of ways to weave winter into your wedding decor.

  • Tabletop acrylic menus to showcase your festive seasonal wedding feast
  • Holiday-themed wedding favors—think monogrammed ornaments, cocoa mixes with custom mugs, cozy blankets, and more!
  • Acrylic seating charts and placeholders designed with holiday colors or design elements—not only does this help reinforce your wedding theme, but it also makes it easier for your guests to know where to go!
  • Custom floor wraps covered with snowflakes, wreaths, holly, snow-topped mountainscapes—whatever your wedding theme is!

And finally, don’t forget to string up some mistletoe for great photo opportunities!

Decor to make your business festive

If you’re a small business owner, you might already have a tradition of decorating your store or office for the holiday season. But while a Christmas tree and tinsel are time-tested standards, think outside of the box this year.

Here are a few new ideas for interior decorations:

  • Window cling snowflakes and snowmen, Christmas trees and presents, Santa Claus and elves, or wreaths and garlands
  • Acrylic snowflakes, ornaments, or candy canes to hang from the ceiling
  • LED hanging lights

However, you don’t have to limit your decorations to inside your building. Exterior decorations are a great way to catch the attention of foot traffic during the holiday shopping season.

  • Lawn signs that promote sales, discounts, or simply share holiday wishes
  • Acrylic holiday scenes. Think the North Pole, Santa Claus, or nutcrackers
  • Pole-mounted lighted signs
  • Custom holiday banners to hang in your parking lot or across the street
